“We needed a system that could manage growing productions. We have grown both in terms of volume and complexity, and needed a thoroughly prepared system that attends to both ongoing production and completed projects,” says CEO of MB Hydralikk (MBH), Kjetil Ås.
Deliveries in hydraulics and the maritime sector
MBH is located in Aure Municipality, north of Kristiansund in Møre og Romsdal county. The roots of MBH go back to 1926.
Today, the company has two primary business areas: development and production of hydraulic aluminium deck equipment and boat building based on saltwater-proof aluminium.
“How many hours were spent on a project, and how much material was used? These are aspects that are important for us to systemise and control,” says Ås.
“We have numerous deliveries for several customers, and a system like MultiPlus makes it easier to trace earlier performances and activities, e.g. if a customer returns one day and places a similar order or needs a new part.
”Profit knowledge
“In terms of financials, we need to know how each production contributes in the overall perspective. MultiPlus will allow us to more quickly identify the things we do right and the things we could do better. In turn, this will enable us to eliminate non-beneficial projects – based on knowledge rather than assumptions,” states Ås.
